New Faces

This clock was black and had no numbers or anything on it. I filled it up but good today! Not sure I'm 100% happy with it, but I am happy enough to leave it. It looks much more colorful hanging over my mantle than it did before. I DO like color!

I made these out of the tubes that my ribbon comes in. They were fun to make and filled with candy bars!

I'm all settled in...

Now that I have the basics of my blog set up I can add things to it as I have time. I will have to make something just for the occasion!

I have to work at the school this afternoon then it will be time for gymnastics- ooh I need to register her for the next session- and then we'll watch Survivor. YES we still watch that show. My husband and kids like it and we like to have shows we can all watch as a family. I like it to, but I just hate to sit and watch TV when I could be doing something else.

Went to CKC this past weekend. HAD A BLAST! Made some new friends and made some neat projects. I need to rework quite a few of the projects because I just can't get into some of the latest paper trends. I like bright, cheery and colorful. That IS NOT the latest trend!!!

After many attempts....

I finally completed a cool card for my class! I tried a different type of card and after FIVE tries, (YES 5!!!), I gave up and went with a different plan. This is what I made. It's called a Slider Card. I will make a Halloween one too just for grins. We'll make these at my hostess club meeting tomorrow night.

another day gone....

No I didn't play with paper today either. Maybe tomorrow? I did go up to the kids' school and work...oh wait! I made a bulletin board. Does that count? Sorry no photos.....

I tried to make a card today but it didn't work...

Some days I just don't feel like playing with paper! Mind you it doesn't happen very often! I think part of the problem was the fact that my kids were home and kept asking me to "look at that" and "come see this" so I finally gave up trying to make a card.
No big deal.

I will play tomorrow. (I hope.)

....another kid just came in and said, "Mommy, c'mere." Sigh. I know they won't be kids forever.
